An Occupational Therapy Evaluation includes parent interview, clinical observations, standardized testing, and assessment of child’s performance in independent functioning, Depending on diagnosis, may include but not limited to assessment of fine motor skills, visual motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory integration, reflex integration, and daily living skills. A referral from your child's pediatrician is preferred In order to have an OT Evaluation, however is not required in the that state of Florida.
OT treatment is individualized for each child based on the results of the OT evaluation and areas of parental concerns and child needs. Treatment is designed to provide the just-right challenge for the child. Treatment sessions are 30 minutes-1 hour in length, dependent on your child's plan of care.
