Ms. Caitlin IS ON MATERNITY LEAVE July 1 - OCTOBER 1

the plan

We are expecting our first child, a little girl, at the end of June 2026. I will not be taking any new clients on in the month of June and will be on official maternity leave from July 1, 2026 until October 1, 2026.

In October 2026, I will return to hosting Club Solana at The Discovery School & Turtle Club at Atlantic Beach Country Club.I will also be accepting new clients for Occupational Therapy services (can be seen in preschool, daycare, school, or home) as well as providing Handwriting Tutoring.

I will not be responding to emails or voicemails during this time so that I can be fully invested in this special time with my little girl and husband. I will be sure to respond as soon as I am back in action at the start of October.

In the meantime, local companies that I recommend include Karen Foster, OTR/L (Karing For Little Hands) & Bold Child Co. (OT, PT, ST offered).

I look forward to helping support you and your family when I am back from maternity leave! Thank you for being here! <3

Includes a formal OT Evaluation. Depending on results of the evaluation, a treatment plan will be created based on the areas of need. A specific service delivery (frequency, duration) is recommended by the OT however this can be flexible to best meet the needs of the child and family. Plan of Care minimum is typically (not always) 6 months.

HANDWRITING TUTORING

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Handwriting Tutoring starts with an OT Screen, I must ensure that there are not underlying skill deficits that need to be worked on through skilled Occupational Therapy. In the case that the screen indicates that there are underlying skills that need to be addressed (such as decreased hand strength, coordination, visual motor deficits, etc), skilled OT services (formal evaluation and treatment) will be recommended.

In the case that the results of the OT screen indicate that the handwriting performance is based on poor habits formed, lack of proper instruction at younger age, etc and all underlying skills are strong then Handwriting Tutoring is an option for the child.

Sessions for Handwriting Tutoring are 1 time per week for 6-8 weeks (45 minute sessions).

PARENT & EDUCATOR CONSULTING

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

PARENT & EDUCATOR CONSULTING

Parenthood is A LOT. If there's anything I've learned in my last 8 months of pregnancy, it's that good, science-backed, honest information regarding child development is really hard to find.

I assumed OBGYNs and Pediatricians would load me up with all of the information, resources, and strategies for a healthy pregnancy and beyond. I've learned that doesn't happen.

To top it off, social media is flooded with tips, tricks, & an overwhelming amount of advice for parents.

I offer parent consulting (booked in 1 hour blocks) where we can talk through your questions and concerns regarding your child over the phone, virtual, or in person. This consultation can be related to anything you're worried about- something the teacher asked you to work on, something you're seeing and worried about, reviewing an IEP and needing feedback/guidance, etc! I am here for you. While I don't have all of the answers, I pride myself in being able to help where I can and guide you to the people who do know the answers and specialize in other areas.

TEACHING IS ALSO A LOT. Unfortunately, so many of the continuing education courses and professional development courses offered for teachers rarely include anything related to special education or the underlying areas that are impacting our students currently (executive functioning, impacts of screen time, how to address fine motor/gross motor/visual motor skills in a class wide format.

I also offer educator consulting. This may be small group or large group, whatever is best for your team. Content and material may revolve around ways to help build strong handwriting skills, easy ways to implement class wide supports for fine motor/visual motor/gross motor skills, sensory vs behavior, and the impacts of screen time (why you're seeing what you're seeing in the classroom and what to do about it). However, I am always open to a new topic that is in my scope and needed by your school.
